After a smooth start to the tournament, team Hyderabad has had a bumpy ride of late – crashing to four losses out of their last five games and barely hanging on to the number four spot on the points table. The return of Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds is a big boost to the team’s chances, as he proved with a quick fire 60 in his first appearance of the season.  They need some big knocks from their top players, backed by solid bowling, to prevail.

Graeme Smith will shoulder greater responsibility with the willow. If he finds support from the rest of the order, Shane Warne’s Royals will be at their competitive best. However, they will sorely miss the services of Shane Watson, who failed to get medical clearance from Cricket Australia.
